Fast prototyping to refine requirements

A cheerleader supply company needed an innovative online catalog allowing sales reps and school contacts to create and customize new uniforms and place orders on the spot. The project was new, vision and requirements were in flux, and stakeholders needed to be heard.

Using Axure, I created a quick low-fi interactive prototype and projected it onto a whiteboard. Stakeholders sketched their ideas and refinements right on top of the projection, I made the changes and projected again. By day’s end the team had nailed down requirements, stakeholders felt heard, and the project continued on schedule.
